Kristine was adopted and has a close relationship with her family,
and also has had a caring relationship with her birthmother Linda
for ten years. She understands with her heart the special feelings
and relationships that are woven together in adoption, and can be a
wonderful support for our child.
Scott has shared in the "heart relationships" of adoption in our
family also, and has had a supportive role. When he was growing up,
his family also had close friends who adopted two of their children,
and since he grew up, he has wanted to adopt children someday when
he had his own family.
Kristine has been able to share her relationship
with her birthmother Linda with her family, and
Linda has met and visited her mom Liz, her
brother Mike and his family, and also some of
her extended family and close family friends.
Linda and Liz have gotten to know each other
over the years, and have visited and stayed at
each other's homes several times during trips,
and also went on a special vacation trip together
with Scott and Kristine to Washington, D.C.
Linda has also been able to share about
Kristine's birthfamily with her, and over
the years Kristine has been able to meet
and visit her two birthsisters, Kim and
Carolyn, and some of her birth aunts,
uncles, and cousins who live in Southern
California.
